We are looking for a skilled Engineering Project Manager (m/f/d) to lead and coordinate technical development projects related to Grid Code Compliance for wind turbines. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our turbine platforms meet the latest regulatory requirements across various global markets.
Drive automation for deployment and configuration using Ansible, PowerShell, and Python. Integrate and manage Prometheus, ELK stack, and Keycloak for monitoring and security. Collaborate with architects and product owners to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance releases.
Acting as a central interface across multiple departments, you will drive development efficiency, manage risks, and ensure delivery of high‑quality turbine solutions. YOUR TASKS You take full on-site responsibility for the construction site, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality execution from delivery to commissioning You actively support the Project Manager in planning, site setup, execution, scheduling, cost control, and project reporting You coordinate and supervise civil and electrical works, plan resources, and ensure availability of tools, equipment, and materials You act as the primary on-site contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders You lead subcontractors, service providers, installation teams, crane operators, and transport companies, ensuring clear instructions and smooth workflows You ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and technical requirements, including risk management and proper documentation YOUR PROFILE Technician or master craftsman qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, a technical vocational training, or an equivalent qualification Several years of experience in construction site management, preferably in wind energy or comparable large-scale technical projects Confident use of MS Office, ideally MS Project, and fluent English skills at least at B2 level according to CEFR, basic German (B1 level) Structured, assertive, and solution-oriented working style with a high level of responsibility and strong teamwork skills Willingness to travel mainly within Germany and occasionally to neighboring countries such as Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, or Luxembourg Willingness to undertake multi‑week assignments on construction sites as well as regular Saturday work We welcome applications from all regions; your place of residence does not matter as long as it is within Germany.
YOUR TASKS: Independently plan, structure, and execute technically complex aerodynamic design projects, including the development of new rotor blades and the detailed analysis of legacy designs Applying advanced fluid dynamics principles, leveraging high-fidelity simulation tools, and integrating multidisciplinary constraints to achieve optimal aerodynamic performance Development and continues improvement of prediction methods and industrialization of research approaches and methods Aerodynamic design, evaluation and optimization of wind turbine rotor blades Prepare and present technical results in engineering review meetings and communicate key findings, risks, and recommendations to senior management and other decision‑making stakeholders Automation of methods within the framework of in-house design tools Validation of results and method tuning using measurement data YOUR PROFILE: Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, or a closely related field; a PhD is a strong advantage, particularly with specialization in aerodynamics Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in aerodynamic design or related engineering fields, ideally within the wind energy sector or similar industries involving complex fluid dynamics applications Strong organizational mindset with demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects from concept to execution Proficient in engineering programming, with hands-on experience in languages such as Python, C/C++, and MATLAB, applied to simulation, data analysis, and tool development Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German or Spanish is considered a plus Self-organized and self-driven personality with the ability to handle complex problems Ability to work in a multi-lingual, multi-locational and multicultural team YOUR BENEFITS Nordex offers a range of attractive benefits – here’s a selection of what you can look forward to.
